Side Way Back is based on Sara Kane´s play Crave. The distinct language of Sara Kane is characterized by an immense graphic quality and poetry. The play Crave shows four characters, speaking without any cognizable connection, but still addressing the fragments to each other. We transposed this fragmented structure of her language into an equivalent bodylanguage. As a result we had two layers, respectively two languages overlapping. Side Way Back was presented at the international choreographic competition in Burghausen and got the 2nd prize.
